Iglu.com (Iglu) is the UK’s leading online travel agent, specialising in cruise and ski holidays. The business operates through three websites – Igluski.com, Iglucruise.com and Planetcruise.com.
Minority investment for growth
Iglu secured investment from LDC in 2015 as the management team looked to drive forward its organic growth plan. The investment enabled the existing Iglu management team to retain a majority shareholding, with LDC taking a significant minority shareholding.
The investment also allowed Iglu to take its model into new geographies and product areas, including tailor-made holidays, luxury cruises and long-haul holidays.
Recent achievements
Since partnering with LDC, Iglu has won a host of major awards, including Best Online Travel Agent at the Agent Achievement Awards 2023 and Outstanding Contribution for the Carnival Cruise Line at the UK Cruises Awards 2023.
In October 2023, Iglu Ski celebrated its 25th anniversary while hailing its best monthly sales result since 2015 and pledging to further invest in technology.
